Can I manually control the power output of my off-camera flashes?

Yes, if your flash model runs on Canon, Nikon and Pentax systems.

More precisely: if your flash is dedicated to one of the Canon, Nikon, or Pentax systems, and fulfils one of the following conditions:

    1. supported through a predefined profile.
    2. supports analogue TTL + passes the suitability test performed by the V6 + supports at least two manual standard power levels below 1/1 power.

Yet another alternative: Your off-camera flash is an RF60.

  • Am I right to say that if I mount a V6 on my Sony a77 with a hotshoe adapter I am able to control the manual setting of a RF60 and a Nikon SB24.

    Yes, that's right.
