On camera HSS with fuji x-pro2 ?

I read a lot of review and I saw everyone said
"Its can HSS with V6II trigger" so, I'm not sure if I use on camera will can HSS in term of 1/8000.

Sorry for my silly question I'm very newbie.

Thanks.

As I understand it, if you have the Cactus RF60 flash, for example, you can have the RF60 flash mounted on top of the V6II trigger and having both mounted on top of your camera. You probably want to disable the hotshoe passthrough on the V6II.

Basically, you will use and fire the flash as a remote flash via the V6II trigger. It just happens to be all attached together so you can set it up and fire from on top of you camera.

It will look ridiculous and frankly you should really get your flash off camera for a better shot anyways, but it can be done like this as I understand it.

I recommend the RF60 because it has built in transceiver and works with the V6II as is without another V6II.  Very straightforward integration and use.

As with any other flash besides the Cactus RF60, I think you can do the same method as with the RF60, but you will have to have a 2nd V6II mounted to the non-Cactus flash. So, imagine stacking a flash on top of a V6II on top of another V6II.. Looks even more ridiculous, not to mention super top heavy, but I think that's how it can be done if you really want to shoot HSS flash with V6II on the camera body.

The answer is yes, but you only need to use one V6 II.

V6 II will detect both the on-camera flash and the camera system it is mounted on at power on start-up. Remember to switch on the flash to TTL and that HSS is switched on > HSS icon or FP on NIkon / Olympus flashes.

    Thanks for chiming in @Wing0949.:)
And I agree, it's a little top heavy, espeically on a Fujifilm X-Pro2.
