Nissin DI700A on sony multishoe

edited July 2016 in V6 IIs Compatibility
Hi,

The V6II Sony combination works fine with the nissin i40.  However adjusting setting for the nissin DI700A with sony multishoe does not work. I saw there is a profile available in the V6II for DI700A but not in the V6IIs version.

When is this planned?

Thank you!

  • Dear Joeri,

Did you set the Di700A in TTL mode before switching on the V6 in RX mode?

You may use the AUTO flash profile for Sony, which works for all Sony system flash, including Metz and Nissin.

    I hope that helps.

  • It works, thank you for your help and quick reply!
  • Question on this same issue thing.

Using the i40 in ttl mode, with i40 profile, everything works as it should. Can change power setting and flash reflects that power change, hss works perfectly.

The issue I'm having is when using the di700 on the v6iis. Yes in ttl mode the flash will fire and reflect changes in power BUT will not work for hss. If I click the di700 over to M mode then hss works, but you have to change power settings on the flash not from the cactus unit like you can when using the i40.

Both cactus units are updated with the 1.1.003 latest fireware.

Thanks for checking the firmware version.

But are you following the same steps in settting up the flash?

Powering on from top down > turn the Flash on > set it to TTL mode> turn on HSS > and then turn on V6 IIs to RX mode?
