Sony Version + some questions.
in V6 IIs FAQ
Is the Sony version already available?
I have several flashes from different brands and it would be fantastic if I could trigger (on all) and adjust the settings remotely on all strobes (except the Jinbei HD600II, only trigger) using one Cactus V6II S Sony transmitter.
- Nissin DI700A (X2) with sony hotshoe
- Nissin i40 (x1) sony hoshoe
- Yongnuo 560 III (x3) canon version
- Yongnuo 560 IV (1x) canon version
- Jinbei HD600 II (X1)
When I order Canon versions for the yongnuo's. Can I trigger and adjust the settings on these canon mount flashes remotely using the normal V6II (canon, nikon) version using the Sony V6IIS transmitter?
And at the same time trigger and adjust the settings on the Nissin's using the V6IIS.
And also at the same time trigger the Jinbei HD600II using a PC sync cable and V6II or V6IIS?
So I would need 1 Cactus V6II Sony transmitter, 3 V6IIs for the Nissin's and 4 normal V6II for the yongnuo's.
And 1 (normal OR S version) for the Jinbei HD600 II.
If I order directly at www.cactus-image.com what is the delivery time to Belgium?
Thank you very much!

http://store.cactus-image.com/cactus-v6-iis-wireless-flash-transceiver-for-sony/ Yes. Please use V6II for Canon system flashes, including Yongnuo. Using the V6IIs as transmitter on Sony camera is capable to control power of other flashes with V6II or V6IIs as receiver. Yes. You can. That's correct. Please expect the delivery in approximate 8 to 12 working days for registered airmail via Hong Kong Post.

You must select manually the proper power and zoom using the unit on your camera (Transmiter).
The flashes on the Receivers must be digital TTL capable to remotely control the flash power and the head zoom.
If you are talking about the same transceiver that allows you to mix and match flashes and cameras then I'm afriiad that's never going to happen, at least with Sony here, with their MI-shoe.

PS I really appreciate Cactus's efforts in developing their multi-brand software.
The V6 IIs is still capable to trigger Pentax flash, but it's limited to X-sync shutter speed in manual mode, and no TTL and HSS. The reason is the Sony camera sync time won't match with Pentax flashes.
With V6 IIs as a TX for Sony camera and V6 II as a RX on Canon flash, the cross-brand TTL work in this combination. Just make sure both V6 II / IIs have firmware updated to X-TTL "A" version.
