I note photos of many non Camera makers amongst those flashes pictured as compatible? Will Godox and Yongnuo work too?

Rest assured. They work well with Cactus V6 II.

The V6II is capable to detect the flash system automatically or you can select the specific flash profile manually in the menu.

For your info, in case you are using Yongnuo flash for Canon, the V6II is intelligent enough to pick the Canon flash system profile (AUTO). We also pre-loaded flash profiles for manual selection. You can find it in the flash profile after selecting the flash system in the V6II menu. The manual selection is good for calibrating the flash power level in specific flash model.

Yes you may wirelessly adjust power outputs of compatible TTL speedlight models listed under th V6 II spec and maybe more.

The listed models are the ones that we and our testers have tried. Other digital TTL speedlight models may also be supported. The V6 II will auto-detect them at start-up.

Which speedlight do you have right now?

Or are you planning on getting new ones just for off-camera use? If so you may consider the Cactus RF60. It has radio built-in so you don't need to mont your TTL flash on a V6 II transceiver. RF60 will suport both Normal HSS and Power Sync (on the latest version 200 firmware).

I just ran a test:  Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera with V6 II trigger on camera and V6II receiver on Godox AD360 flash.  No HSS capabilities.  But the trigger always sent a signal to fire the receiver and the flash fired.

I ran the same test with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II.  It triggered the flash only up to 1/250 (the max sync speed) but above that and in HSS territory - the receiver did not even attempt to trigger the GodoxAD360.  

No HSS with either the Olympus E-M1 or the E-M5 II when using the V6II as triggers and receivers for the Godox AD360. 

I ran another test: Olympus OM-D E-M5 II with V6 II transceiver and V6 II receiver under the Canon 600 EX-RT.  It works with HSS (but I cannot figure out how to use the transceiver to adjust the power output of the Canon flash).  Then I tested it with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the same setup - The V6II failed to trigger sync any of the strobe firings with the Canon 600 EX-RT.

Antonio notes that Panasonic flash profiles are included for FL360 and FL500. I've not seen either listed in the flash set-up. Speedlight I have is the Lumix FL360L. Is mine different from those profiled (L)?

Hello @ShaunKing,

Is your Godox AD360 Mark I or Mark II?  Only the Mark II for Canon or Nikon works in HSS. I believe the Mark I is a manual flash only. In order to work with the V6 II it must be a TTL flash and the flash must be set to TTL mode.

There should be no problem with the Canon 600 EX-RT and it can be triggered from your Olympus cameras.

Mount the Canon flash on the V6 II, power it on, switch it to TTL mode, then switch on the V6 II to RX mode and let it auto-detect the flash. It should show a "C" on the LCD.

My current setup is Panasonic GX7 with 2 FL360L flashes. Ofcourse with 3 cactus V6 Mark2's.

I just experience some things not functioning. Sometmies overlight etc.  Any suggestions how to set it up well in this case? I tested it under several stops but above 1/1000.

Firstly, please check whether the V6II detects the camera system successfully. To see the status screen In the TX mode, press the MENU button and scroll the rotatory dial. When It detected the Panasonic camera, you will a camera icon with "O".

To set up the camera system, half-press the camera shutter while switching on the V6II in TX mode. Or you can manually select the camera system in the MENU.

You also need to set up the flash with V6 II in RX mode. The V6II is capable to detect the flash system automatically. Please make turn on the flash first, then switch the V6II in RX mode. Sequence is matter in this setup.

I hope that will explain the issue.

I have an Olympus OMD E M-1 and several Sunpak PZ58X flash units purchased for a Nikon D750.

Will the V6 II trigger the Sunpaks as remote slaves?

Hi Yuri,

If your Sunpac flashes support i-TTL for Nikon and most likely they are compatible on the V6 II.

Is your Godox AD360 Mark I or Mark II?  Only the Mark II for Canon or Nikon works in HSS. I believe the Mark I is a manual flash only. In order to work with the V6 II it must be a TTL flash and the flash must be set to TTL mode.

i have the flashpoint ad360 mk I, i set the v6 ii flash to Manual and i physically put the ad360 flash itself into hss by pressing the Mode and Set buttons together, my olympus omd em1 picked up the flash and image looks fine
