About the Multi-master function on V6 II ( and compatibility with V6 )
Hello,
I'm wondering if the V6 (1st gen) would get a firmware upgrade to get the Multi-master function.
If not, when I get a V6 II as the transmitter and V6 (1st gen) as receivers, would the Multi-master be functioning?
Or I need all the triggers change to V6II to get the Multi-master function? thanks!!
(because my frds and I are all using V6, and we sometimes shoot events together, this function is quite important for us, thx~)
BR,
John

So for now, you need all V6 II to get the multi-master function.
On the other hand, there is a workaround method for V6, which is to adjust the power on the TX before taking picture. So the V6 TX transmits power level signal to the RX, which memorized the setting and get ready to be triggered by any of the TX unit.
I hope that helps. Cheers!

Is the firmware "Cactus V6 V1.1.019" not yet compatible with V6II? I have been pulling my hair for the past few hours trying to trigger my V6s with my V6II.
Also, can V6II trigger V5 receivers?

I can't seem to trigger mine. It detects the half press but not the full press. V5 is not triggering my flash or turning orange to green. I can trigger V5 with my other V6 on the same channel though. What am I missing?
Cheers!

I believe the V6II firmware has a bug that prevents the V5 from being triggered. I noticed the problem myself and reported the bug a while ago.
It is definitely not a problem of not respecting a minimum distance.
BTW, the "SHORT" option of the V6II's "WORK RANGE" setting is not working as it should either. It only becomes effective when one changes it to "LONG" and then "SHORT", but is ineffective if one simply leaves it at "SHORT" after a power cycle.
I reported the bug to our engineering team and we had it fixed.
