What does "cactus-hid.dll" missing means during firmware update?
What you may have experienced is that the firmware update process does not start after clicking the UPDATE button. When this occurs you will see a message on the STATUS bar telling you that "cactus-hid.dll" is missing.
This DLL file is originally included with your download, however your computer's anti-virus program may recognized it as a threat to the system because of its relatively low reputation (number uses) and have deleted on your behalf.
You can undo this by going into your anti-virus program, select the tasks it processed and revert it to original setting. The file will then reappear in the installation folder.
