Why is it that I have the HSS enabled on the RF60, and Optical Slave disabled, but when I shoot at 350 shutter speed (a stop above my camera's maximum 250 flash sync speed), using the V6 - there is a black band at the bottom?
I thought that you can fire the RF60 in HSS mode using the V6. I use a Nikon d750.
To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".
TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.

The "HSS" mode on the RF60 uses optical slave and you need a TTL flash
to send out a pre-flash signal. We call this "HSS Sympathy Mode".
V6 on its own cannot trigger an RF60 and correctly sync above x-sync speed.
The black band is aka banding issue and it happens when flash was fired above camera's maximum x-sync speed.
FYR, here's another discussion on HSS with RF60:

Hope this helps!
