Learning manual flash - Yongnuo 560 iii

Hi,
I purchased Cactus v6 transceivers and I already have Yongnuo 560 iii and 468 flashes. But they are not work with V6. They are manual flashes. How do I make it work? Please help. Thanks.

  • Hello @arunvenuav,

    Only TTL system flashes can be learned.
    Manual flashes such as the YN560III cannot be learned.
    For manual flashes, you will have to adjust power manually on the flash unit and not wirelessly.

    Please refer to flashes listed below - if you have TTL flash model that is not listed below but runs on one of the system below (Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Pentax) and it offers analogue TTL then you would have a chance of learning it's profile.

    Flash model profiles pre-installed in V6:

    Canon system models:

    - Cactus AF45C, AF50C;

    - Canon 320EX, 420EX, 430EX, 430EXII, 430EZ, 540EZ, 580EX, 580EXII, 600EX-RT;

    - Godox V860C;

    - Metz 36AF-5, 44AF-1, 50AF-1, 52AF-1, 58AF-1, 58AF-2;

    - Nissin Di866 MARK II, MG8000;

    - Phottix Mitros, Mitros Plus;

    - Sigma EF-500 DG SUPER;

    - Yongnuo YN568EX II;

    Nikon system models:

    - Cactus AF45N, AF50N;

    - Godox V860N;

    - Metz 36AF-5, 44AF-1, 50AF-1, 58AF-2;

    - Nikon SB-24, SB-28, SB-600, SB-700, SB-800, SB-900, SB-910;

    - Nissin Di700, Di866;

    - Sigma EF-530 DG SUPER;

    Pentax system models:

    - Cactus AF45P, AF50P;

    - Metz 36AF-5, 44AF-1, 50AF-1, 58AF-2;

    - Pentax AF 360FGZ, AF 540FGZ;

    Olympus system models:

    - Metz 44AF-1, 52AF-1, 58AF-2;

    - Olympus FL-36R, FL-50R;

    Panasonic system models:

    - Panasonic FL360, FL500;

    Thank you!

  • did i understand it right, that the Yongnuo 560 III will fire by just using one Cactus 6V, connected with its inbuilt trigger sytem? i am not interested in adjusting the power wirelessly, i just want to know if it flashes.

    I am loocking foreward to buy a Youngnou 560 IV with one Cactus V6. Will this combination work?

    hoping for a fast answer,
    with kind regards, Andras.
  • Yes it will work.

    The Yongnuo YN560II is a manual flash and can be triggered on a Cactus V5, V6, or V6 II.

    Thanks for checking with us.

    Cheers!

    If you are asking whether you can use a single V6 to trigger a YN560 III remotely, the answer is "no".

    You'd need one V6 unit as a transmitter and another V6 unit attached to the YN560 III to trigger the latter.
