Duel camera shutter release (sort of)

I wonder if you can please help me.

I currently own 3 x Cactus wireless flash v5 transceivers and a Cactus Shutter Cable SC-SON, a Sony Alpha 77 and a Sony Alpha 55

I was trying to get one transceiver in TX mode on top of the Alpha 77 to trigger the Alpha 55 via a transceiver in RX mode connected via the shutter cable, so that when I fired the shutter on the 77, it also got the 55 to take a shot too.

Only it would not work.

Firstly, is this possible? And if so, do I have everything I need?

Can you make the 55 take a shot by pressing the test button of the V6 on the 77?
