What is the chance that a profile for the ShannySN600C flash can be created. I tried self learning, and it went all the way through the process only to tell me "learning failed". What sucks, is that I can put it in the camera hotshoe, and control the flash functions via the camera menu. We don't have Shanny SN600C to test, but you can try using any of flash profile for Canon in the V6. In case those profiles don't work, you can set the V6 flash profit to MANUAL FLASH, and set the SN600C to manual mode. The V6 is still capable for triggering the flash without remote power control.
After some more testing (tried every profile for Canon that is installed), I would like to refine my request. The profile for the YN568EXII works for remote power control interestingly enough. Makes sense considering the place of manufacture, and probably using a lot of the same parts as Younguo. Though there are a few quirks I noticed regarding the operation. If you start out in ETTL mode, the flash will automatically switch to manual mode the first time you trigger it. But, you can watch the power change on the flash as you change it on the V6, so no biggie there. Second, the Zoom will change occasionally after you have set it. Interesting, how a pre-installed profile works, but, the V6 cant self learn the flash. I understand you dont have a Shanny to test with, just hoping that in the near future that you could get one and modify the YN568 profile to a closer fit.
Vivitar 283 Older units have been reported as high as 600V!
Recent (post-'87) revised 283's ("Made in China") are safer with modern cameras, running around 9-10V. Bob Atkins reports some as low as 5V. Recently units marked "Made in Korea" have also appeared... measured at 8v by Andrew Cassino and Tony Bonanno. Kevin Omura used a Quantum battery and got a hefty 261.4V out of his (sn3012330), while Göran Samuelsson had two units with different voltages: 230V and 190V. Other reports have had similar variety, up to 270V

Hi @sedlacekt, for some flash models that run purely on digital TTL protocols we are unable to decode and certainly cannot be learned - they will not work on the current V6. AFAIK the Olympus version runs solely on digital TTL.
In order for the V6 to learn, the flash must have analogue TTL available - that's the only way it can determine / control the flash output power. My understanding from the R&D people is that only with new hardware can we address this issue of digital-only TTL flash models.

With the latest firmware, the V6 is now pre-installed profiles of Godox V860N for Nikon and V860C for Canon.
Thanks for adding the Godox V860 profiles. Could you expand this to include the AD180 TTL and AD360 TTL as well please? The AD360c ii (that I tested) can be operated and power controlled already with the V860c profile, but of course the absolute power mode is way out and cannot be learned.
@rocket, in order for Absolute Power to work, a dedicated flash profile is required. So the workaround method of substituing another digital-only TTL flash profile won't cut it.
We'd love to add more flash profiles to the V6 however our team has been stretched out working on the new products right now. I hope you'll understand.

So on the Metz 50-5mz one nee to attached the Nikon modules the place it on the v6 and find its profile.... Or whatever to I do for my Metz 54.. C I only have one Nikon and one canon modular... Profile it with canon ...modulus? The 3rs V6 goes on the camera MFT panda GH3 as my transmitter....LAST Q Can I use any other flash on top of the TxV6 at -2f as a fill?? I should bench mark all flash s so I will have similar output strength right?

If that the case you can try and see if the V6 can learn its profile. Make sure the battery is freshly charged before starting the learning process.
Your Panasonic Lumix GH3 is no problem, and you may mount a V6 on its hot shoe, then a portable flash on the V6 as fill - such as your Nikon unit. You may either set your Nikon flash to:
M mode: manual flash setting, adjust power and zoom manually direclty on the flash
TTL mode: select corresponding flash system (Nikon) and profile (example: SB-900) and you can control on-camera fill flash power by pressing and holding the MENU button while you adjust the Adjustment Dial. Zoom can only be adjusted directly on the flash.
When you have multiple off-camera flash setup, you and benchmark their outputs by using Absolute Power mode. The V6 TX will detect the number of flashes and map their outputs on the same scale.
Note that if the power range of your flashes are very different, the V6 will only allow you to use their common power outputs, so some top and bottom end will be chamfered off.

YES and yes my modules for this MZ50-5 handle mount flash is SCA-3401-M3; i also have a canon equivalent…(i used to use this flash on Film cameras:
Nikon 8008s and Elan by canon (1992-1999..ha)
I also have the MZ-54 for the F100 (2001-4) and the MZ58n for the D200 (2005-2012). BUT now i am using the Panasonic GH2 &3 with all these flashes in manual. however i am looking for the Nissan lik=ne for a TTL compatible with the MFT GH3 cameras
Last summer i tried to connect two of my flashes with the V-6 and one on the GH3 to do they product shots;; only one flash with fire BUT not both …i was very dissapointed about my $225 investment …YOU can see below my set up and i only have a flash camera right …
So…..i put the V6s in a box and i forgot about them …
Come Xmas 2015 i did some images outside STILL one V6 in Tx mode will fire;

@nadgosmo It could be a setup problem, but from the pictures I can't really tell much. Let's try and troubleshoot it. Here are a few that comes to mind:
All V6 units are set to the same channel?
Have you enabled the correct groups on the TX unit to match RX unit(s)?
When you half-press the Test Button on the V6 TX unit, does other V6 Status LED lights up in orange? (Full press it should blinks green)
Did you select the correct flash profiles for the portable flash you mounted on the RX unit? (since you were just asking about your Metz and you haven't gone through the Flash Profile Learning, I am guessing you have yet to select a compatible profile for your flash)
When you release shutter button your camera, if the V6 TX Status LED blinks green that means trigger signal was sent successfully to V6 mounted on camera, this we can eliminate any hot shoe connection problem (FYI: the V6 is compatible with most cameras equiped with standard ISO hot shoes, so it will work on ALPA, Canon, Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, etc., and remote power control is done witin the Cactus wireless system)
If the flash unit is compatible, either using preset profile, or you have learned it using the V6's profile learning program, the flash needs to be in TTL mode. (you are just manually adjusting its power, but the units just needs to stay in TTL mode for V6 to communite with it)
Could you tell me what you mean here? You know we don't sell car accessories, right?

Speaking of the Godox V860N, for those who own it, is this a reliable flash? It has some really bad reviews on Amazon here and there. Would love your opinion on here.
I love the Cactus V6 and the RF60 combos, but I'm buying a Leica Q or a Leica M Type - 262. Is the V6 transmitter & RF60 flashes compatible with the leica Q or the Leica M type 262.
If not does anyone else have a alternative suggestion that is compact and serves the same purpose.
The V6 is compatible with any cameras that have a standard ISO shoe (uses the centre hot shoe pin for flash triggering), so the Leica is definitely compatible with the V6 to wireelssly triggering the RF60 as off-camera flash.

I think its a shame that the Cactus Transceivers lack support for Sigma Super Flashes...
The reason is obvious. Cactus wants to sell its own flashes... But that is not the reason why i bought Cactus Transceivers.... I bought them so I can use my Sigma 610 DG Super and my Sigma 140 Ringflash with Pentax-Hotshoes maybe on some other system and/or control all those flashes wirelessly... THX.
Why would Cactus support a large number of flash models and even support creating profiles for many models that are not directly supported if their primary objective were to sell RF60 flashes?

BTW, a number of Sigma flash models are incompatible with other equipment as well.

If it has then it can mount directly on the V6 II and it can be controlled remotely. Also, it's likely to have HSS function. See if you can activate it directly on the flash.

@Antonio Yes ive got the Canon specific flash and trigger system (Fji has the same pin out arrangement). Ive found some other posts here about Godox triggers so will use this info to do some testing! It would be a massive bonus if the cactus V6ii can trigger can work in this way.
