Fuji X-T1 TTL Pass through and the Nissin i40
Hi,
Firstly will the Cactus system control the new Fuji Nissin i40 remotely in manual mode? Is this a compatible flash.
Also, I am looking to fire 2 remote cactus flashes but also have a Nissan i40 on top of the camera in TTL mode.
Will the Cactus transceiver allow the Nissan i40 to work in TTL mode (Pass through) whilst still controlling the 2 remote Cactus Flashes.
Thanks
Ian

The V6 is not capable to control power of the Nissin i40 for Fuji wirelessly. But if you wish, the V6 can work as a basic wireless flash trigger with the i40.
The second point is feasible. With TTL pass-through, the V6 Tx works as a wireless flash commander whilst still controlling other remote flashes with V6 Rx.
All the best.

You do need to enable TTL passthrough on the trigger of course - and also make sure your trigger has the latest firmware update. One of the great features of the Cactus system is the way it keeps improving with new firmware releases - just like Fuji have updated their cameras through firmware.
Canon and Nikon take note!

Have you enabled TTL Pass-Through on the V6 TX unit? Press and Hold the MENU button, and you will see a TTL logo on the left of the LCD.

Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks!

I just tried mounting our own i40 (for Fuji) on an X-T1 and it worked!
All I did was:
- Mount the flash on the V6
- Mount V6 on camera
- Switch on the i40
- Switch on the V6
- Switch on the X-T1
- Long-press V6's MENU button to turn on TTl Pass Through; as soon as I did that the zoom motor moves.
To test if signals are passing well, I adjusted the zoom of the lens and zoom motor on the i40 moves accordingly. Take a shot and flash is fired with no under nor over exposure. Please check your setup and see if all three devices are connected properly.
Thank you!

Before seeing it I already "removed" the tiny indentation on the front of the "male hotshoe" on one of my Cactus V6 with a steel file, as can be seen on the pictures attached by @torbo666 here: http://www.cactus-image.com/community/post/quote/299/Comment_779 and tried it again... it didn't work at first but then pressed a little harder the cactus onto the X-T1 hotshoe and went in about 1 mm more, and it's now working, and have test it several times (removing and replacing the cactus v6 unit) and it's working fine now!
Thanks!!
