Yongnuo YN24EX Cactus V6II and Nikon dslr

Want to use the YN24ex macro lighting system ( which is for a Canon system) on my Nikon D800 hot shoe. Have a Cactus V6ii and do not need wireless communication so how do I set up the Cactus? Have tried TX Rx manual TTL and nothing seems to work. Am I asking the impossible? or am I missing something simple? Any help welcome.
