Remote shutter for multiple cameras

Hi Antonio!

Can the v6ii and the v6 do remote shutter for multiple cameras at one time? For example, each camera will have 1 v6ii or v6 operating under relay mode (RX) and one v6ii or v6 operates under TX relay mode. Will it work? Provided that they are all connected using the shutter release cable of course. I was thinking of creating 3d gifs based on multiple photos or a 'bullet time' effect as my personal project. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you!

  • You can trigger multiple cameras at the same time.

You wouldn't set their V6(II) receiver to "relay" mode, though. You could just trigger them with a regular V6(II) in Tx mode (no "relay" mode required either).

Do you want to use flash as well?
This would also be possible but things get slightly more complicated. Still easily possible, though.
  • Hi @fir86

If all you need to do is remote shutter release, you do not need Relay Mode.

Relay mode, just how it literally means, where a V6 II receives a signal and at the same time it would sends out that signal. You only need to use this function when you want to add an off-camera flash.

Each V6 II attached to camera will receive the signal from a transmitter at the same time, they will all take the shot at the same time - same camera model, same type of memory card, and all lenses set to Manual Focus.

Actually you can achieve the same effect using a Cactus V5 and V6.

With the V6 II you could set each camera to have a different delay, such as each taking a shot with 0.5 second apart.

    Hope this helps!
