AF Assist not working with Canon

in V6 II Problems
Hello, can someone please help me trouble shoot this? AF is set to single shot on Canon 5Diii. The AF assist light on the V6ii was working last week but is not today. What could have changed?

    There is some possibilities.
    1. The camera is set to manual focus. So, the AF light won't be activated.
    2. The AF assist light option is switch off. Maybe you can check the V6 II menu.
