OM-D E-M5 Mark II - V6 II - FL-600R Compatibility and HSS

Hi everyone, could you please confirm the full compatibility between the V6II transceiver, OM-D EM-5 Mark II, and the FL-600R speedlight (and eventually for the FL-50R...), especially for HSS (aka Super FP on Olympus)? Thanks in advance! - Roberto

  • Hello, just unpacked and tested V6II transceiver, OM-D EM-5 Mark II, and the FL-600R speedlight. After some basic searching I manged to get it up and running. I have however also 2 (old...) Sunpak 5000AF (TTL) for Nikon. What are the possibilities of the V6II in combination with these speedlights?
    Thanks, regards,
    Mark
  • Sunpak is kinda old. We don't have it to test and most likely it isn't supported by the V6 II.

  • Thank you Ray ... I think I worked it out by trial and error. But I confirms it triggers correctly up to 1/200 in manual mode, but adjustments need to be made on the speedlight itself :-)

Just to investigate some alternatives for me: In your compatibility list you mention Metz Mecablitz 44 AF-1. This has now been replaced by an AF-2 version. I don't see major specification changes between AF-1 and AF-2. Are you aware of any potential compatitibility issues with AF-2?

    Thanks.

    Mark
