off camera TTL exposures are roughly 1.3 EV too low compared to native system

Like the title says.

RF60X trigged by a v6 ii in TTL with 0ev FEC = ~1.7ev darker exposure than an off camera Nikon speedlight fired by Nikon's optical system, also in TTL at 0ev.

Anybody else noticing this? Calibration issue?

Comments

  • After more experimenting, the same happens with any flash off camera (such as an SB700 on a V6 ii set to receiver). All off camera ttl with the V6 ii is 1.7 stops lower than it should be.
  • Thank you for the report.

FYI, RF60X TTL exposure simulates the power level output of a TTL flash that directly mounts on the camera.
