New "A" firmware version released on Cactus V6

Finally, the rather confusing firmware transition period is over!

The latest firmware versions released will work with all other Cactus devices (except Cactus V5 and LV5).

Cactus V6
  1. V61.A.001
It can be triggered by Cactus V6 II running on Multi-brand HSS as well as X-TTL firmwares.

  1. V62.A.001 (Multi-brand HSS)
  2. CAN.A.001 (Canon X-TTL)
  3. FUJ.A.002 (Fujifilm X-TTL)
  4. NIK.A.001 (Nikon X-TTL)
  5. OLY.A.001 (Olympus M43 X-TT)
  6. PEN.A.002 (Pentax X-TTL)
  7. SIG.A.001 (Sigma X-TTL)

    Hi Antonio,

    So just to confirm, if I upgrade all my v6 transceivers to the latest firmware, they will no longer be triggered by my LV5?

    Hi Ian,

    I'm not Antonio, but I know that the very latest firmware version uses the "A" protocol and hence becomes incompatible with the LV5 (and V5).

    The answer is a yes.
    If you need to use V5 or LV5, your V6 / V6 II / V6 IIs / RF60 / RF60X must be running on the legacy "1" firmware protocol.

    Where is the download link for the latest firmware update for the V6. I'm still using version 2.1.001. I see V61.A.003 listed in the Firmware release notes (Released on 13 Nov 2018) but there is no download link for it under firmware updates for the V6.

    Can anyone please help me. I am new to triggers and flash photography and I am struggling.
    if you have the TX running one Firmware V61.A.001 and the other set toTX running V1.1.016 will the work to activate a remote Canon580/430 speed light please?

    No, why don't you just update them all to the same firmware? The "A" firmware is running a different protocol compared to the older firmwares, they must match.

    Also the flash must be on top of a V6 set to 'RX' not 'TX'. You can't fire the flashes without them being on top of a v6.

    Can you please inform where I can find the legacy firmware 1.1.013, I need to downgrade the firmware on my V6 II to have it work with the LV5?
