V6iis as RX and V6ii as TX, HSS doesnt work
Hi,
Using V6iis as RX connected to a strobe via the sync connection. While V6ii is TX on 5D3. Non HSS will work fine, just that once we set to HSS, it doesnt work. Is this setup suppose to work?
The symptoms we get with V6iis RX set to :
manual flash = no firing
Auto Sony = only top of the frame, bottom half of the screen is black. Is it possible to set the sync speed delay for this?
If we do switch the connection, using V6iis as TX, and V6ii as RX, strobe will fire fine in HSS.
1x V6iis using sony.A.001
3x V6ii using can.A.001

Because a Sony flash can only be triggered by a Sony camera.
But a Sony camera and trigger a non-Sony flash.
Thanks!

I also just pickup a Sony flash (Godox TT685s), funny thing is that Canon V6ii can trigger the flash on V6iis in TTL, but cannot in manual. Possibly good info for those that wants to use sony flash in non HSS or manual mode
But whatever you are seeing is not part of the project scope so TTL may not be accurate.
As long as it works out for you!
