OK Cactus nation tell me if this is normail?

I am using two RF 60X's and one V6II triggering them.

When changing my power setting with the V6II the RF 60x's displays the change but

the change does not come in effect until the second trigger after the change. Not a big deal

now that I know about this oddity, but it did cause a bit of trouble this last weekends photo shoot.

Cheers

After adjusting power on the V6 II, the display takes about 1 seconds to update the display on the RF60X. Don't worry, the RF60X power level actually changed once the camera shutter is pressed.

    I hope that helps. Cheers!

That is not normal and it would be a big deal for me (not "not a big deal" as you put it).

The delay in showing the adjusted power on the display is normal, but to not have the correct power applied at the next shot after the power adjustment is definitely not normal.
  • AAAAA I figured it out.

I use Auto detect on my V6II at start up (pushing shutter button half way in)  it did not detect that I was using a Canon camera.  I went into settings and manually switched the V6II to Canon WALLLA now all adjustments work on the very next shot.

Its always hard to diagnose new problems while under the gun in a photos shoot that time is of the upmost importance. (High School State Bowling Championship team photos, (32) 10 person teams in an 1 1/2 hours with about 60 singles photos mixed in) YES ITS A LITTLE CRAZY!!!!!

  • Thanks for the update. Glad you resolved the issue!

Just shout if you need anything else.

    Cheers!
