Cactus announces the RQ250!

Cactus announces the RQ250, a 250Ws, palm-sized, bare-bulb wireless monolight that supports wireless TTL/HSS and gives you the best possible light in a compact body. Like Cactus’s triggering system, RQ250 also builds on a cross-brand platform that works with Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Sigma and Sony cameras. It is currently scheduled to be available in Summer 2018 and price is to be advised.

FYI the RQ250 will world premiere at CP+ Yokohama Japan on March 1-4 2018. So if you are in Japan this coming weekend, do drop by!

The lighting rumours article about the RQ250 states that there will be a Bowens S-mount adapter.

It also states that there will be Cactus grids and a snoot that will directly attach to the reflector.

I saw RQ250 at the venue, but the staff told me that RQ250 can not use cactus v6 MK1. Which is correct this?

@Didjeridoo V6 MK1 can trigger the RQ250 with basic flash power control. This will be possible when new firmware for V6 is available. Date is TBC. 

@seanmcfoto Magnets are used for attaching colour gels, snoot and honeycomb.
