V6 II with Pentax K-1 and Flashpoint XPLOR 600 for Sony

I'm transitioning from Pentax to Sony mirrorless cameras and native lenses. I want to be able to shoot with my Pentax K-1 off camera the Flashpoint XPLOR 600 HSS in manual HSS and do not want to use TTL. Will I be able to use a Cactus V6 II on my Pentax K-1 with an R2 Transmitter for Sony on the V6 II and shoot in manual HSS? Will I have remote control of power levels?

  • Hi Mark,

You are moving from Pentax to Sony... but you mentioned that you are still shooting on a K-1?
Which Sony camera are you using?

Our setup for all cameras + a studio strobe with onboard HSS:

V6 II TX on camera hot shoe (V6 IIs for Sony
V6 II RX - sync cord - studio strobe

Power level is adjusted on the strobe's own transmitter.

Whilst power is done by V6 II units.

    Hope this helps.
