Fujifilm X-T20

Hi,

I recently bought the new X-T20 next to my X-T2. With the X-T2 the Cactus V6 II works perfect, but with the X-T2 my results are not reliable. Most of the time I see part of the image black. So it's not syncing well. I have done all the steps like learn HSS and have turned Force HSS on. Sometimes it delivers, but most of the time not. Is there an update coming?

Greetings, Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

On your X-T20, have you tried redoing LEARN HSS?

This is needed due to jumping shutter times on all Fujifilm cameras. So when you first did the Learn HSS process and camera takes a shot, that particular timing was not the "most-used" by the camera. Therefore, redo LEARN HSS until it captures a timing that is indeed the most often used.  A few trial and errors will do.

FYI this cannot be helped until after we release new firmware to tackle this. We are almost done our study of the EF-X500, which was the missing piece from Fujifilm in offering "real" HSS. We hope to have it available in April / May 2017.

    Thank you.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.
