Hi Antonio,

A customer has a V6 mk II with the latest firmware, but he can't get it to work. He says he's tried everything. It has no connection with the Cactus RF60… He can't get it to change the power.

I know it's hard for you to say what's wrong without seeing it, but do you have any ideas? Does it sound like a faulty unit to you?

Thanks in advance

Laura

  • Hi Laura,

What firmware is the RF60 running on?  The customer can check the current version by holding down the NEXT button and switching on the unit. Firmware version will be displayed on the screen.

Next to check is the firmware on the V6 II. We might as well update the V6 II to the latest version, if not already. It's now version 1.1.007.

After updating to 007 the default range is now set to SHORT (Menu > radio setup > work range), which would kill any possible distance (too close) issues.

    Thanks!
