New Metz M400 & V6

Hello

Is there any experience how V6 cooperates with this flash (preferably the Pentax version)
Greetings from Germany

  • We don't have one, but I think the new M400 is likely not going to work with the original V6, unless Metz preserve analogue TTL codes.

On the flip side, the V6 II should work okay with the M400.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.

    Hi Antonio,

recently bought metz m400 for my xt2, does the v6 ll  transceivers supports it now? (hss)
  • Given the M400 runs on the new Fujifilm flash system with HSS then the current firmware on the V6 II does not support it.

FYI the EF-X500 is not supported just yet, at least not HSS, as we are nearly completing our study of the flash and the new system but it takes some time to integrate it on the V6 II.

We hope to release new firmware to support these new Fujifilm flashes in April / May but can't be sure yet as we still need to test it. Please stay tuned.

Your understanding during this time is much appreciated.
