Does the Nikon SB 24 work with the Cactus V6II ? It is listed as compatible with the V6, but it does not appear on the list of compatible flashed for the V6II. Can anyone shed some light here please?
Reason: SB-24 runs on analogue TTL protocol and the V6 II runs fully digital.
Not sure about the SB-24, but many analgoue TTL flashes do not support high-speed sync.

Antonio, What about the SB-25? I cannot get it to obey remote power control. Shoulhd I be able to do this with SB-25?
Alan
I am afraid that's also an analogue TTL flash. So only the original V6 will be able to remote control its power.

I have just received my V11 units and can't find how to teach a profile for my SB24. If not possible how do I get the best from my Cactus/SB24 combination
If you mean V6 II units then you won't be able to profile an SB24 on it because, as Antonio stated earlier in the thread, this is an analog TTL flash. You may be able to fire it with a V6 II, but you won't be able to adjust power remotely and will have to adjust the power on the flash itself.
To control the power remotely on an SB24 you want a V6 as the receiver (V6 generation 1 is analog TTL, V6 generation 2 is digital TTL). You can use a V6 II transmitter and a V6 receiver though.
You won't get any HSS capability with the V6 though.
Hi Peter I had the same issue as you are having. I then purchased V6 triggers and the the SB 24 profile is loaded on the the unit and it works perfectly.
@peter, that's right. SB-24 and other older NIkon units all run on analogue TTL.
V6 II needs digital TTL in order to work.
Thanks for chiming in guys.
