Godox AD360

edited December 2016 in V6 II Compatibility
Is the Godox AD360 mk1 version compatible with the V6Ii? It has HSS capability but no ttl. Or would I need the mark 2 ttl version? Will the Cactus recognise it automatically even though it's not a preinstalled profile?

  • If you can activate HSS directly on the flash model, you can use it as a manual flash and it would still fire the long pulsing, then you are good to go. Just connect the V6 II directly on hot shoe - it should detect it as a manual flash.

HOWEVER you may need Godox's own trigger to activate HSS.

We better wait and if anyone here has this model to verify.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.

  • You can accomplish HSS with a Godox AD360 flash using a combination Cactus V6ii and Godox The Cactus V6ii mounted directly mounted to the camera. The Godox trigger is mounted in the Cactus V6ii hot shoe.

    The Cactus V6ii  unit allows
you to set both the Camera System and Flash System that you are going
to use. However, only the Nikon Flash System setting in the V6ii pass
the signal to the Godox X-16 trigger correctly. If set to the Pentax
Flash System it will not fire the Godox 360. If you set the Flash
System to Canon it fires the flash late and will not sync with the
camera. The Power of flash is controlled by the Godox X-16 trigger mounted on the V6ii
  • I can agree to the above.  Works fine on XT2 with latest firmware updates

If you move the cactus v6ii and Godox combo to another XT2 you ned to get the Cactus & Fuji to re-lear HSS.
