Trying to update firmware to latest version. Progress bar moved quickly to around 99% and stopped. Red LED still flashing. Will I brick the unit if I disconnect?

Had the same experience when updating cactur v6ii v 1.1.003 to 1.1.006, using a freshly downloaded updater, v2.07 on a win 7 computer. Reminded me how nice it is when these thing just work...
I guess I can use this thread to show an issue with the V6 firmware update (version 3.05 updater). No matter which firmware version I selected , the V6 only shows version 1.1.010 after update. I did Factory Reset a few times but it didn't solve the problem. I just wonder if there is a way to force the V6 to show the correct version of firmware (I'm currently using version 1.1.019 which I found works well with Nikon SB 800). Please help. Thank you.
Did you press the smaller button above the UPDATE button?
"CHECK FOR LATEST FIRMWARE"
The latest version I believe is 2.1.001.
Thanks!

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I relaunched the V6 updater v.3.05 again and found no ["smaller button above the UPDATE button? "CHECK FOR LATEST FIRMWARE"].
I'd like to attach a screen shot but this comment post doesn't accept images that are larger than (2) megs.
I've tried all V6 firmware versions available, looking for one with good compatibility with my Nikon SB 800 flash and Cactus RF60. Some work with SB 800 but not with RF 60. Others are good with RF 60 but not with SB 800. I've tried v. 2.1.001 before, not the version I want. I've settled with version 1.1.019. This version seems to be OK with SB 800 although sometimes causing misfiring on RF 60.
But the issue here is not the firmware version. It's the display of the installed firmware version. I'm using version 1.1.019 but V6 continues to show version 1.1.010 which makes me wonder if I really have the version 1.1.019 installed ?!
Another wish I'm having: I'm able to remotely change power output on my SB 800 but just wonder if there's a way to manipulate its zoom function since having SB 800 set at TTL there's no way to check its zoom distance after it fires.
I include my scenario so other people would be able to follow correctly:
(3) SB 800
(1) RF 60
(3) V6_rx
(1) V6_tx
All V6's are using firmware version 1.1.019. RF 60 is using version 142
I've finally learned how to get a screenshot with Window Snipping Tool. So here's the V6 Updater version 3.05 lauched on Windows 8.1. As you can see, there's no "the smaller button above the UPDATE button?"
Apologies, I got too hung up with the past. There's no longer a need to press that "Check for..." button since version 2.04 Updater.
Can you confirm that the blue progress bar goes all the way as it installs the firmware? .... after you clicked Select, then the Updater should download the firmware version, and once that's done, you clicked the Update button.
And upon completion, do you see "INITIALIZE....." on V6 II's display screen?
Thank you.

I have 6 V6's and was able to update all but 1. The last one to update did not accept the upload and the program froze. The V6 has a flashing red LED and appears to be totally dead. Is there a RESET of some sort that can fix the problem???
