Firmware V2.1.001 release

edited October 2016 in V6 Compatibility
This is a major update for Cactus V6. With new firmware, the V6 is now compatible with V5, LV5, V6, V6II, V6IIs and RF60. See the attachment for the compatibility.

New features:
- Implemented supports to work with V6II / IIS (all firmware versions) and RF60 Master (with firmware version 2.00 or later):
 Remote power and group control;
 Triggering within the x-sync shutter speed;
 Delay commanded by TX;
 Group sequence;
 Remote shutter release.

- Implemented supports to POWER SYNC in A
- TTL mode when working with V6 II / V6 IIs TX. Please note that not all the flash models are compatible to the POWER SYNC supports. In the <CHOOSE PROFILE> menu of the V6, a "P" icon would be shown for supported flash models.
- Delay in seconds is now supported: In the <DELAY> menu, choose <SET SEC> to configure the delay timer from 1 to 99 seconds.

User interface improvement:
- Firmware version check: In the sub-menu, turn the selection dial to <FIRMWARE VERSION> to check the firmware version being installed on the V6.

Compatibility:
- Fixed the compatibility issue on Metz 48 AF-2 for Pentax after updating the flash firmware to 6.0.

  • Unfortunatly the possibility to copy learned profiles does not work. I tried to copy profiles from firmware version 1.1.009. to this version and the "receiving" unit did not "see" that the "transmitting" unit was sending profiles to it.

    This is a big problem because the only possiblility to "save" learned profiles and use them on a unit with a newer firmware is by coping the proliles from units with older firmware to units with the latest firmware.
