Is there a possibility, to get High flash sync on Panasonic DMC-G7? (i will use YN flashes or Cactus Rf60)

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @gigacz

We have not tested the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 so we can't be 100% but it's likely a yes.

Another user @Wilvoeka also has a G7 so maybe he / she can shed some light.

    Thanks!

  • hi antonio, have you tested the other camera mentioned above? the gx7? i was trying out my olympus omd em1 with the manual flashes, the flashpoint ad360 and cheetah cl180 at home and both looks to be working with hss for my olympus. however when i removed the transmitter and put it on my gx7, there seems to be uneven light on the images, same camera settings as on my olympus - the bottom 3/4 of the frame seems noticeably darker than the top 1/4. thx

Is it a shadow banding? Or the "darker: area is only a notch darker than other section of the image?

Were you using Power Sync or Normal HSS?

Power Sync will have a slight strong brightness wash on the image, at the lower section, due to the shutter opening and power curve of the flash pulse.

Are you using auto-detect on the TX unit? Half-press shutter button at device start up so the V6 II can auto-detect the camera system?

It would help if you could include a thumbnail of the two sample images, on the GX7 vs Olympus (which model?)

And no, unfortunately we haven't got the GX7 to test. We only have the GX8.
