Does it work with Yongnuo 560 IV flash guns

Does the new Cactus V6 II trigger the Yongnuo 560 IV for HSS? The compatibility list is not up to date, so I was wondering whether something has changed. I have Yongnuo flashes and I was wondering whether I can use them manually in HSS, if I buy a Cactus V6 II transmitter.

  • I'm curious..... when did the YN 560 mk4 become HSS capable? Are you sure????
  • Yes, I am curious too.

If the YN560 IV has HSS natively on board the flash then it should work off-camera too with the V6 II.

But if the flash does not have such a function, then certainly the Cactus V6 II could not squeeze HSS out from nothing.

Generally speaking, YN560 IV does not support HSS, however, by using Cactus V6 II on Fuji X camera, there is a Force HSS option.
By putting YN560TX on top of V6II, I’m able to force YN560TX to trigger YN560IV for HSS upto 1/4000 on Fuji X-T1.  This only works for YN560IV, it does not work on YN660. So if you have YN560TX & YN560IV, you may take a try.
  • The YN560 IV has a built-in YN560-TX which Supports Wireless Master Function.  So if a 560 iv were mounted directly to the camera hot shoe, could it be made to both fire the trigger to other 560 iv off camera flashes, and in some manner set itself to receive the signal to flash using the forced HSS option?  So it would be in some sort of dual mode to send and receive it's own signal to fire.

Hey, can you tell me what the setup to do this? I have the 560TX trigger and 2 x YN560IV that you mentioned in your comment. If I get the Cactus V6II trigger then I can do ocf hss? Thanks
