X-Pro2 with Nissin i60A

Hi guys

Is there a way to use the V6 with a X-Pro2 and the Nissin i60A for Fuji.

Manual Flash mode does work, but It would be nice to be able to change the power on the V6.

Tried to make a custom profile but that won't work

Hey @Steven_nl

The V6 does not support Fujifilm system flashes.

You will need the V6 II if you want to use your i60A for Fujifilm.

Also, FYI most NIssin flashes only provide digital TTL and no analogue TTL so the V6 won't work even if the i60A is a compatible version, such as Canon.

How are you liking the i60A? Is it as powerful as a typical GN60 speedlight as it claims?

hi Antonio. thanks for your answer. 

Not sure if it is as powerfull as my Canon 600. But It is powerfull and it does fit the x series camera's well. allthough a bit front heavy. 

I could test it out for you. I guess I could use the V6 and do a full power manual flash with both flashes. Woild you prefer it at a certain apperture, ISO, shutterspeed?

I was just curious so unless you planned on doing an A-B test don't worry about it. From your impression the power output is quite there.

Did a quick non scientific test

Used both flashes on my xpro2 with a 23mm. Used 1/250, F16, ISO 200. Shot at a wall about 2 meters away.

Set both flashes to 105mm

The i60 was about a stop brighter. 1/2 power was as bright as the i40 at full power, but the i40 had a wider spread of light. I had to change the i60 to 70mm to get the same spread of light. to get the same brightness I had to raise the power 1/3.

So I guess the i60 is 2/3 of a stop brighter whit the same spread of light. At 200 mm the i60 is a bit brighter still.
