Camera Shutter Release on Nikon D7100 - One then Done.
Greetings,
I am seeing an issue with the camera shutter release feature on the V6 combined with a Nikon D7100.
The system will allow one focus/shutter release action and then will not perform any subsequent focus/shutter releases.
The system V6 pair seem to want to trigger as the yellow and green indicators show, but the camera will not autofocus after the first trigger. Unplugging the trigger and plugging it back in allows the camera to autofucus and trigger, but that's not a practical workaround. This occurs in any camera mode on the Nikon D7100, auto, manual and anything in between.
Switch the V6 pair to Canon 5DMKIII and 7D and the focus/shutter release works as designed.
The trigger cable functions as designed and will actuate the focus/shutter release when the appropriate contact closures are made. The V6's have been flashed to the latest firmware and multiple V6's exhibit the same issue with the Nikon D7100 system.
Has this behavior been seen before?
Are there any special settings for the V6 and Nikon bodies for the focus/shutter release to work?
- Regards, Zen

Sorry, I don't have D7100 to test, but I was using the D5100, which has the same sync port as D7100, with a shutter release cable connecting to the V6 Rx unit. Another V6 Tx unit on hand to trigger the shutter release wirelessly. I tried all shooting mode on the D5100 and it worked as expected. If you can see the yellow and green signal on the V6 Rx, that means the V6 Tx unit can transmit the signal successfully.
My wild guess is the shutter release cable is not working properly. Have you got a chance the use another cable?
By the way, there is no special setting for the V6 and Nikon bodies for focus and shutter release to work.
Look forward to hearing you soon.
All the best.
