  • Hi Andrzej,

You will need two (2) Cactus V6 IIs (if your Nissin i60 is made for Sony):

Mount the Nissin i60 on a V6 IIs, switch on the flash, set it to TTL mode, switch on the V6 IIs to RX mode.

Mount the other V6 IIs on your A7R II, switch to TX mode.

Make sure you install the latest firmware version for best performance.

    Hope the above helps.

    Thank you.

To help us better help you, always state the exact firmware version installed on your Cactus device(s), such as: "1.1.013", "NIK.A.001", "v.103", or "A06".

TTL or HSS not working on Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs? Be sure to check hot shoe connectivity by doing the <CAMERA INFO> check.

  • Hi, Antonio! First of all, thank You for your attention. Now I know I have made a mistake buying Cactus V6 IIs instead of Nissin Air Commander 1 dedicated to work wireless with Nissin i60. I understood wrongly compatibility. I bought only one Cactus trigger calculating that my flash which have wireless reciver built in doesn't need additional cactus reciver . However Cactus V6 is working with RF60 using only one cactus trigger on top of the camera? Isn't? here is picture describing idea.

Wireless built-in, yes, but from a different manufacturer would make a big difference.

It would be like how you cannot unlock the doors of a Toyota with a BMW car key remote, or a VTECH phone cannot be paired with a Panasonic charging base, despite they are both operating on 5.4Ghz.

Only the Cactus RF60 / RF60X can be directly triggered by a V6 / V6 II / V6 IIs (mounted on camera hot shoe) remotely using radio frequency 2.4Ghz.

Below attachment is from Quick Start Guide (included with V6 IIs' packaging) and can also be viewed online.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you!
